A Shared Commitment to Driving Change

The National Incarceration Association (NIA) is focused on supporting and advocating for families affected by incarceration. Although the NIA has a clear passion and numerous ideas, they recognized the need for a roadmap to guide their next steps. Through a recommendation, they reached out to CCT Atlanta and applied for pro bono consulting support.

The CCT Atlanta Approach

Like many of our projects, this partnership began with listening. We aimed to understand NIA’s core values, pain points, and long-term vision. Our dedicated team of volunteer consultants brought diverse skill sets and perspectives to the table. We conducted interviews and worked closely with NIA’s leadership to identify organizational strengths and areas for improvement.

Guided by NIA’s mission, we collaborated to produce a strategic plan that empowered the organization to:

  • Focus on Core Objectives: We helped prioritize initiatives that align with NIA’s unique mission centered around families and incarceration advocacy.

  • Unify the Team: By engaging staff and volunteers throughout the planning process, each individual felt invested in the strategic outcome.

  • Set Clear Metrics for Success: Our consultants established measurable goals and timelines, ensuring the strategic plan resulted in concrete results.

NIA’s CEO, Kate Boccia, recently recorded a testimonial explaining how working with CCT Atlanta significantly shaped the organization’s future. We invite you to watch her video testimonial on YouTube to hear about her firsthand experience.

In her own words, Kate emphasized how our collaboration arrived “in the nick of time.” She credited our engagement with uniting the NIA team, providing renewed energy, and delivering a clear plan that’s “phenomenal” for guiding their next steps.

Key Outcomes

Enhanced Mission Clarity

The strategic plan enabled NIA’s leadership to articulate their goals clearly. This clarity makes it easier to align program activities with their overarching vision.

Increased Team Buy-In

Through the collaborative process, NIA staff felt heard and valued. This reinforced each person's sense of ownership in the organization’s success.

Actionable Next Steps

The plan outlined specific objectives, timelines, and measurable outcomes. This ensures that future projects are executed with purpose and accountability.

Stronger Organizational Health

By establishing a framework for sustainable growth, NIA can continue its essential advocacy for families with renewed momentum.

The Power of Partnership

Working alongside NIA highlighted the impact of strategic collaboration. By combining our expertise with their passion, we created a plan that fosters growth and sustainability. Our engagement serves as a reminder that nonprofits are stronger together.

Investing in a well-defined strategy can catalyze progress. CCT Atlanta’s volunteer consultants are passionate about assisting organizations to maximize their potential. Our partnership with NIA exemplifies how targeted support can elevate an organization's mission.

Looking Ahead

The enthusiasm Kate and her team demonstrate in their video testimonial is precisely why CCT Atlanta exists: to harness the power of professional expertise, deliver pro bono consulting, and empower nonprofits to excel in their missions. We are proud to contribute to NIA’s journey and eagerly await to see their continued progress.
